Issue No. 5, Summer 2013

from Pepper the Yard with Light
Matthew Porubsky

xlviii.

Voice has no filter,
water-rocks,
spring-font,

breath absent of smoke- ash.
Magma cools,
takes soil,
seed.
Your ear curves in
math,
ancient,
told,
receiver width.

Aplomb of full wind.

Graspable between fingers.
Sing my song-proof,
fashion union strong.
Squeeze my hand
again.
