Issue No. 5, Summer 2013

September
Changming Yuan

In the open fields
Nothing, not even a wish is left
Except bare stems
Deep holes, bald twigs
But behind each closed door
Is a cozy room
private or public, full of
Colored fruits, plump seeds
And overflowing minds
As though all ready for the new school
of thought
